The Rancho Framing / White Cap / Direct Transport  Top Alcohol Funny Car qualified in the # 7 position
for the quickest field ever at a Division race. Although we never had a perfect run, we did run in the 5.70’s
on every run.  In the first round against Brian Hough the #2 qualifier we made some major changes and the
car slowed to a 5.79 losing to Brian’s 5.62. Even though we lost, we feel the changes we made will lead to
a more consistently fast car.

Left Lane: Mark Woznichak Runs 5.714/253.04, Now #2
Right Lane: Ron August Jr Runs 6.034/181.47, Now #7

The Woz leaves hard and makes a clean pass down the track. August had better number to half track and
then slowed right before the 1000 foot lights.

Left Lane: Mark Woznichak Runs 5.761/251.11, Now #7; Best prior run: 5.714/253.04, Was #7
Right Lane: Don Hudson Runs 5.666/253.71, Now #4; Best prior run: 5.691/251.16, Was #5

John Patton is on the bump spot at 5.725 and this is a new Div. 7 TAFC qualifying record. Both cars are
already qualified and make strong passes. Hudson improves and will take over the current #4.

Left Lane: Dennis Taylor Runs 5.707/250.41, Now #5; Best prior run: 5.678/245.40, Was #5
Right Lane: Mark Woznichak Runs 5.712/252.57, Now #7; Best prior run: 5.714/253.04, Was #7

Nice side by side low seventies runs and again no improvement. Rare consistency in these high horse power
cars. Woz stops on the track near the final turnout and the safety crew has to pull him off the hill.
