The Rancho Framing / White Cap / Direct Transport Camaro Top Alcohol Funny Car
qualified in the #4 Position at the 21st annual O'Reilly NHRA Fall Nationals presented by
Castrol Syntec. In the first round of competition we broke a blower belt on the burn out ending
what would have been a very good weekend of racing.
Qualifying:
In the first round of qualifying we ran a 5.84 @ 247 mph, the car was down on horsepower in
the humid Texas air so we made some changes. We went in the right direction as we picked up
a tenth of a second in the 2nd round of qualifying running a 5.75 @ 249 which was good enough
for the # 1 position until Jay Payne ran 6 thousandths quicker to take away the #1 position. In
the 3rd round of qualifying we showed we could run consistently fast as we retook the # 1 spot
with a 5.74 @ 250 mph. We eventually ended up in the #4 position when the final round of
qualifying was over.
The Race:
We were paired up with Will Hanna in the first round, but unfortunately the race was over
before it started when the blower belt broke on the burnout and we were unable to race. We
usually put a new blower belt on before first round, but it was missed when there was a down
pour of rain between the 3rd qualifier and the first round when we were doing our maintenance.

Woznichak goes right down the groove and moves into the top spot for now. Moats hazes the
tires about 400 feet out and has to pedal.

Sullivan gets out of the groove, drifts toward the center-line, but never backs off the throttle.
He improves slightly but remains on the bump. Woznichak goes right down the groove and
takes the pole for now.

Woznichak breaks the blower belt on the burnout, giving Hanna the free pass. Hanna gets
about 900 feet out and pops the burst panel. Stidham will have lane choice over Hanna in round
two.
