O'Bannor gets the advantage off the line and has to work hard to keep the Monte Carlo off the wall all the
way down the track. He runs right on his qualifying times to take the two car length win.
The Woz had similar numbers to half track, but can't match O'Bannon's pace.
made great strides towards becoming a contender in the always tough the
field ever in TA/FC.
In testing we ran a 5.77 out of the box, we then had qualifying times of
5.711, 5.659 and 5.637 with a best MPH of 256.02 on our way to qualifying in
the 6th position.
In our first round match up against Division 7 points leader Sean O’Bannon
we spun the tires too hard and slowed to 5.65 to Sean’s winning 5.60. We
won the battle to get into the record quickest field ever, but lost the war and
did not win the race. Our next race will be at Bakersfield, CA Sept. 18-19.
